Kano emirate rejects FG's chattered flight for Bayero

Emir of Kano, sons flown abroadThe Kano emirate rejected the chattered flight offered by the presidency to fly the injured emir of Kano abroad. Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero was attacked on Saturday January 19th after attending an Islamic function in Kano has since been flown abroad. Information also reveals that two of the monarch's sons who also sustained injuries in the attack have also been flown abroad.

Six persons who lost their lives in the attack included the emir’s driver, Interim Management Officer of Kumbotso local council, Alhaji Salisu Abdullahai Kura and four emirate guards. However, Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso who paid the emir a sympathy visit at his palace shortly after the incident, disclosed that the emir was in good health.
